Renault Clio RS as ringtool by cam shaft - ready for the green hell
12 Oktober, 2012
The third generation of the Renault Clio with the additional type R is already available since September 2005 – with a facelift since 2009.Even this small French car, whose
first generation (type 57) has been touted as “pretty cheeky”, received by the way the top grade of 5 stars at the Euro NCAP Crash Test. The next high-revving concept – an RS variant (RS = Renault Sport) of the Clio – in contrast to the competition which is betting on turbochargers, is athletic enough to keep this competition at bay.
It is not surprising that the car foiling firm CAM SHAFT from the Lower Rhine Kempen has chosen a ringtool – these are vehicles that are taken just for fun to drive on racing circuits (the much maligned tourist trips) – when you look at the result. While the surface of the Renault Clio RS is foiled in matt Graphite Metallic (for the special edition this color is already available as paint), the exterior mirrors are presented in a (gift-)green paintwork. The motor hood seems like a can with green paint has accidentally fallen over. As the slice wedge, an incitement MOVE RIGHT is affixed, but in green mirror writing.
Even the original 17 inch RS rims are powder-coated in green and covered with semi-slick tires from Kumho in 215/45. In combination with a coil-over suspension by H&R with Nurburgring North Loop tuning, a special kind of driving dynamics is achieved. Of course, the engine also wasn’t left behind. In addition to an OK engine characteristic map tuning up to 225 hp and 250 Nm of torque, as well as the installation of a sports air filter by K&N, the entire exhaust system has been modified with ingredients from Supersprint: bends, 100-cell sport catalysts and both the middle and the rear muffler are from Mantova. The front part of the brake system (R26 R) is a borrowing from the big brother MEGANE II, along with the stainless steel brake lines at the front and the rear, and it ensures optimum deceleration. Finally, there is a Clubsport cage by Sahler Motorsport which is just as the rims powder-coated in green, as well as a discreet Stickerbombing in the interior. cam-shaft.de
